Maryland State FFA Convention

    MD FFA State Convention

    Maryland State FFA Convention is a three day event at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where students participate in Career Development Events, leadership workshops, and service learning activities.  Many awards, leadership degrees and scholarships are presented. Participants get the opportunity to share ideas with other FFA members from across the state.  The Maryland FFA Alumni will be hosting a FFA Shopping Mall.  All proceeds benefit the Maryland FFA Association. 

    Check in from 3-6 pm for housing by Advisors at University Terrace Dormatory. 

    Convention check in from 6-7 pm in lobby at the Student Service Center

    First General Session beginning at 7:15 pm  in the theater at the Student Service Center


Maryland State FFA Convention DUE Dates

  • 5:00pm
    Due: Public Speaking Manuscripts, Ag Issues, Marketing Plan, Ag. Comm. Portfolios

    In order to qualify for competition at the State FFA Convention in June, the above mentioned CDE's requires a master copy of the written documentation either by:

    1. If there are materials in the documentation that cannot be copied, then mail 5 copies and have it postmarked by May 15th to: Terrie Shank, Maryland FFA Executive   Director at Mid Atlantic Farm Credit at 925 N. East Street in Frederick, MD

    2. Or scan and email the master copy to

    4. Or hand deliver by May 15th at 5 pm. to Terrie Shank,Maryland FFA Executive Director's office at  MAFC in Frederick, MD

    It is vital that they are received by May 15th at 5 pm so that judges have time to score them as best they can prior to the competition.

    Due: State Convention Full Payment
    *State FFA Convention Chapter full payment must be postmarked by June 15th by 5 pm  to Terrie Shank, MD FFA Executive Director.
    If full payment is not received by June 15th  by 5 pm, student/teams will not be eligible for awards in competitive events.
